Who We Are
At Scruffs No More, based in Portsmouth, Hampshire, we believe your dog deserves more than just a haircut-they deserve a calm, loving, one-to-one grooming experience that leaves them looking great and feeling even better. Founded by Sue, a lifelong dog lover with over 25 years of experience as a dog owner, Scruffs No More was created out of a genuine passion for canine care and grooming. After years of taking her own Miniature Schnauzers to professional groomers and being inspired by the transformation and care shown during each visit, Sue trained at Bentleys Academy in Petersfield. She later refined her skills at Bentleys in Chichester, working alongside expert stylists, and eventually decided to open her own home-based grooming salon.

We welcome all breeds, large and small, and tailor every groom to the individual dog’s needs. Each appointment includes a general health check, and any issues noticed with skin, coat, nails, or general wellbeing are communicated to the owner.

We continuously update our skills and keep on top of the latest grooming techniques, using only premium, pet-safe products suitable for different coat types and skin sensitivities.
From Puppies to Pros
We specialise in introducing puppies to the grooming experience in a calm and positive way through our Meet & Greet and Puppy Pamper packages. It’s all about building trust early on, making future appointments easier and stress-free.
