Health & Vaccinations
All pets must be fully vaccinated against common illnesses and viruses. Proof of vaccination and veterinarian details must be provided upon request. Service may be refused without refund if this information is not supplied.
Elderly Pets & Medical Conditions
Grooming may be stressful for elderly pets or those with health conditions. If necessary, Scruffs No More may seek immediate veterinary care, with costs borne by the owner. Owners will be contacted first when possible.
Fleas & Ticks
Pets must be free from fleas and ticks. If found, grooming will be stopped and rescheduled, and the full fee will apply. A £20 surcharge applies for flea baths and disinfection; tick removal is free. Please treat your dog before rebooking.
Safety & Accidents
While every precaution is taken, minor incidents (e.g., cuts, scratches) may occur. Grooming may be stopped if a pet is distressed or poses a safety risk. Owners must inform of any medical conditions prior to grooming; a vet’s letter may be required. Pets are groomed at the owner’s risk. No grooming for pets microchipped within 24 hours or for pregnant pets.
Coat Condition
Severely matted coats will be shaved, not styled, in accordance with the Animal Welfare Act 2006. Scruffs No More is not liable for injuries or after-effects resulting from de-matting or clip-offs. Owners are responsible for maintaining their pet’s coat and behaviour.
Behaviour
Aggressive pets may be refused or have grooming stopped; a £10 fee may apply. Owners are liable for any injuries caused by their pet. Dogs registered under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 are not accepted.
Pricing & Appointments
Prices are based on pets in good health with manageable coats and temperaments. Additional charges apply for severe matting or behavioural/health delays.
Deposits & Missed Appointments
A £20 non-refundable deposit is required, refundable only with 48 hours’ notice. Late arrivals (15–30 minutes) incur a £15 fee, over 30 minutes is a no-show and forfeits the deposit.
Cancellation Policy
Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 48 hours’ notice will result in forfeiture of the deposit. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment, or failure to attend, will incur the full grooming fee. Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may result in refusal of future bookings.
Late Collection
I work specifically one to one with your dogs, so your dog must be collected within 30 minutes of the scheduled pick-up time. A £15 charge applies for each additional 15 minutes.

Photos or videos may be taken for marketing purposes. Please notify in advance if you do not consent.
Payment Methods
Payment is due on the day by cash or card (excluding AMEX). Deposits can be paid via a secure link.
